Family Ministries


Los Altos United Methodist Church has a rich history of providing family ministry programs. Every Sunday we welcome families of all ages to worship together offering special activities for children during the 9 a.m. service including a short children’s sermon with the minister.


We are currently working to grow and expand programs to support, encourage, and strengthen families in our community. These programs will provide opportunities for families to grow together in faith, build lasting relationships, and participate in meaningful activities for all ages. Stay tuned for more details as we prepare to welcome you and your loved ones into these new ministry experiences. 


In the meantime, please consider joining Everyone’s Inn - Dinner Church, a mid-week gathering for families and individuals. The Everyone’s Inn weekly gathering is a program of the “Being the Church” movement in Long Beach. “Being the Church” is a group of four United Methodist Churches in Long Beach working collaboratively to offer non-traditional “church” opportunities to anyone seeking a community of justice, service and spirituality.  During the summer months while Dinner Church is on a break, there are additional summer camp opportunities.  See below for more information.

mid-week gathering

Mid-Week Gathering - at “Everyone’s Inn - Dinner Church” families are encouraged to come together and be in community with one another. We play, eat, learn, serve and pray together. Special theme nights take place each week. Everyone’s Inn is from 5:45 - 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays during the school year.

groundlings day camp

Groundlings Day Camp - Everyone’s Inn takes a break during the summer months, but we do offer a summer day camp that runs for three weeks, usually during the month of June.  This provides the opportunity to continue their spiritual journey, and deepen their ties with the community through different outreach opportunities.
